Пролекарство Mesalazine: препарат, смешанный с соединением сульфапиридина и 5-ASA, который деградирует в месалазин бактериями в толстой кишке.

Месалазин плохо всасывается в кишечнике, уровни сыворотки низки, с небольшим выделением в грудное молоко. Неактивный метаболит N-ацетил-5-ASA был обнаружен в небольшом количестве в молоке с относительной дозой для младенцев не выше 10%.

Сообщалось о каких-либо негативных последствиях среди грудных детей, получавших лечение от матери, за исключением редких случаев диареи, о которых сообщалось в 80-х годах с использованием сульфасалазина. В обзоре 121 случая и 121 контроле авторы не смогли наблюдать эти результаты. (Moretti, 1989).

Консенсус экспертов подтверждает совместимость Mesalazine и / или его пролекарств во время грудного вскармливания. Сульфапиридин, высвобождаемый в толстом кишечнике, поглощается 60% с связывающей белок мощностью 90%, что является причиной низкой экскреции в грудное молоко. Производные мезалазина, которые не содержат сульфапиридина, рекомендуются некоторыми авторами для использования во время грудного вскармливания (см. Альтернативные препараты).
