On those situations of accidentally occurred puncture by an used needle being left at environmental temperature, neither cases of transmission of HIV nor Hepatitis C infection have been documented. On Hepatitis B non-immunized mother-infant dyad give a dose of immunoglobulin or/and initiate vaccination.
On those cases which have occurred among health caregivers, seek Health Prevention Department advise.
