Long-acting bronchodilator.

Its high molecular weight and plasma protein binding make excretion into breast milk unlikely

Terbutaline which is a related medication is excreted insignificantly in breast milk.

Plasma levels after inhalation of Salmeterol which is a related drug are insignificant.

Inhaled medication should of choice because a lower dose and fewer excretion into breast milk.
