Topical use.
Although at the date of last review there are no published data regarding lactation, poor absorption through the skin makes it unlikely that a significant amount will be passed into breast milk. Even systemic corticosteroids, at usual doses, do not contraindicate breastfeeding.
If they are required to treat eczema or dermatosis of the nipple, it is advisable to choose the least potent corticosteroid, apply it just at the end of the shot so that it has been reabsorbed before the next, if necessary, remove remains with gauze and do not use for more than a week. .
Mineral-corticosteroid intoxication has occurred in an infant by continuous application of a corticoid on the nipple.
