Is Zaleplon compatible with breastfeeding? Do we have alternatives for Zaleplon?

Zaleplon

March 27, 2015 (Very Low Risk)

Used for treatment of insomnia.

It is excreted in non-significant clinical amount into breast milk.

Foods with high fat content may delay absorption by the gut. A low oral bioavailability decreases the pass of it from the mother's milk to the infant's plasma, except in prematures or in the early neonatal period, when a higher intestinal absorption may occur.

Not commercially available in Spain
